This audio is an excerpt from the 12th Annual Urban Ministries Prayer Breakfast that I had the opportunity to attend this morning.
It was a reminder that there's a side of Dallas that people would rather ignore and pretend doesn't exist. There are systemic issues of racism and injustice that perpetuate the problem of poverty in our city.
It was also a reminder that there are people that care passionately about the people of this city, all the people of Dallas. Central Dallas Ministries is actively engaged in the fight to END HOMELESSNESS IN DALLAS. They don't want to "treat" homelessness, they are fighting to end it altogether.
What if my death was the only thing that would make my life significant? What would I do? Simple... eat chocolate chip cookies.
